All you can do is sit slumped in your bed, staring into nothing, stuck in your thoughts and weeping. Scratch that, sobbing. Sadness, anger and anxiety stalk your days and nights.
Breakups really suck, even if you’re a fish
Emotions are physical reactions of our body to what is happening in our mind. When you were little, you were probably scared of darkness, ghosts, or possibly your own parents. When we face these beasts, we feel bad.
M odern life is full of emotional challenges. However, what we learn in our society is not how to work with our emotions, but how to block and avoid them. We do it quite well: Between alcohol use, prescription drug use and screen time, there are a multitude of ways to avoid our feelings.
